Our Pastor

Reverend Christian Grate 

 

Our pastor, the Reverend Christian Grate is a native of Tabor City, North Carolina.  Reverend Grate is a charismatic leader, impassioned shepherd, and creative visionary.  He is devoted to building the Kingdom of God and transforming lives through God's word.

Reverend Grate is currently pursuing a degree in Theological Studies at Deliverance Bible University.  At just 20 years old, he accepted his call to ministry and delivered his initial sermon in November 2015.

Reverend Grate began his ministerial career at Little Iron Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the auspices of the Reverend Thessalonia Graham.  There he served in multiple capacities including Associate Minister, Minister of Music, Youth Sunday School teacher and many other positions.

Reverend Grate is committed to servant leadership and he has demonstrated his love for God's people through mission work, mentorship, and civic engagement.  In addition to working with local organizations, he has worked with Reclaim Ministries in California.  As a former member of the Tabor City Chamber of Commerce, Reverend Grate was a voice for his community.  He is always seeking God for opportunities to have a positive impact.  Indeed, Reverend Grate demonstrates his favorite scripture, "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15

As the pastor of Freemont Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend Grate is dedicated to the spiritual growth and holistic well-being of every member.

Reverend Grate is married to the love of his life, First Lady Shaquana Grate.  They are the proud parents of their adorable daughter, Nova.  Reverend Grate is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lamont Grate.  He has two brothers and one nephew.
